Lori is an experienced family law attorney and practices family law exclusively. Lori represent clients in a wide variety of matters, some of which include paternity, custody, child support, spousal maintenance, complex non-marital tracing, division of business interests and awards of closely-held corporations/partnerships, grandparent visitation, adoption, and pre-marital and post-marital agreements. Lori adopts a pragmatic approach with her clients aimed at achieving her clients' short term and long term goals. She is very familiar with the multitude of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) processes and works to achieve settlement whenever possible. But should settlement efforts fail and trial become necessary, Lori is a skilled litigator adept at providing strong and aggressive legal advocacy on behalf of her clients.

Lori understands that family law issues are often the most emotionally wrenching experience that people are forced to confront in their lifetime. She strives to optimal results for her clients, all the while trying to minimize the emotional and economic effects that divorce can have on families and children. She does not believe in a one-size-fits-all approach but instead tailors her representation around the needs specifically suited to each client.

Lori is active and involved with the Minnesota Bar: 4th District Ethics Committee; Faculty and Facilitator for the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers (AAML) Divorce Camp; Past Chair of the Volunteer Lawyers Network Family Law Committee; Mentor Attorney for the Volunteer Lawyers Network; and Current Family Law League Member. She is also a member of the Minnesota Bar Association and Hennepin County Bar Association.

Lori was also named a Rising Star in 2008-2009 by Minnesota Law and Politics, Minneapolis/St. Paul Magazine. Only 2.5% of the attorneys in Minnesota are selected as Rising Stars. For more information on Minnesota Law and Politics and its Rising Star Designations, please see www.superlawyers.com.

Previously, Lori clerked for the Honorable Tony N. Leung in the Fourth Judicial District. Lori also served as a law clerk the Hennepin County Attorney's Office and interned with the Dakota County Attorney's Office.

Lori is also a Qualified Neutral under Rule 114 – MN Rules of Gen. Prac.
